Meet Boomerang

Boomer's Story

Boomerang is our reptile room mascot. He is an Emerald Tree Boa and has been with us since 2007. He was named shortly after being recovered from a thief. He had plenty of media coverage on the news and talk radio during his abduction. The thief entered our store one evening with the intent to steal him. He successfully nabbed him, but failed to see the many signs and video cameras around the store. Within hours, we had his pictures circulating in the media. Channel 11 came to the store and did a complete story. Well, the thief returned him unharmed (We heard his mother saw him on the news!) After Boomer's adventure, we decided he was too famous to sell and he became a part of our staff along with Trouble.

Plano Pets Rescue Work

If you have a reptile that you can no longer care for, please contact our staff. Providing we have the space in our facility, we may be able to help. Normally, we can take in rescues, bring them up to good health and then offer them to a good home. Rescues are sometimes given away for free, but we normally do charge an adoption fee that covers our costs including overhead, payroll, medications if needed, vet bills, food, and care.
